Sign-up sheet maker

Make a clipboard sheet people can sign in person: a heading with the when and where, then time slots, a list of tasks or simply numbered lines, with the columns you need. Print it on US Letter or A4.

Setting up the sheet

Choose how rows are made. Time slots splits the period between From and Until into equal slots, each with as many lines as people you need. A list I type makes one slot per line, which suits potluck dishes, kit to bring or tasks. Numbered lines gives a plain list for an attendance or interest sheet. Then name the columns people fill in and make the important ones wider.

Printing

Pick US Letter or A4 and print; long sheets run onto extra pages with the column headings repeated. Turn on landscape when you have many columns. Download CSV gives the same table for a spreadsheet. Only ask for the details you really need, and keep the filled-in sheet somewhere safe, since it holds people's names and numbers.

Questions

How many people fit on a page?

It depends on the heading, the paper and the orientation. The preview is drawn in the shape of the chosen paper, and longer sheets carry on over more pages.

Can I leave out the time column?

Yes. Clear the slot column heading, or choose numbered lines.

Is anything I type saved?

Your sheet settings are kept in this browser so you can reprint later. Nothing is sent anywhere.
