Making the graphic
Type amounts the way you write them: 5,000, 5000 or 2.5k all work, and a decimal comma such as 1.250,50 is understood too. The currency menu formats every figure with your browser's number settings, or choose no currency to count anything else: volunteers, books, trees planted. The thermometer fills to the share raised; once you pass the goal it stays full and says the goal is reached, with the real percentage.
Which file to use
PNG works almost everywhere, including email newsletters and social posts; it is saved at twice the size for sharp screens. SVG stays crisp at any size and suits websites and print shops. Print puts the graphic on a page on its own, ready for a noticeboard. Update the raised figure and download again as donations come in; your settings are remembered in this browser.
Questions
Can I show a goal in another currency?
Yes. Pick any currency in the list; amounts are formatted with its usual symbol and decimals, so yen have none and euros may show the symbol after the number in some languages.
Why does the PNG use a different font?
Downloaded files use common system fonts so they look the same on any computer, without needing this site's fonts installed.
Is the thermometer accurate to the penny?
The fill is drawn to the exact share of the goal. Labels round to whole amounts unless you enter cents.
