# Privacy

In short: what you type stays on your device.

## Your data stays in your browser

The hours log, rota, thermometer and sign-up sheet maker all run in your browser. Nothing you type, import or create is sent to us or anyone else.

## What is stored on your device

So your work is there next time, the site keeps these in your browser's local storage: your colour theme; your volunteer hours entries (dates, organisations, activities, hours and notes) and the certificate details, including the volunteer's name; your rota, including the names of the people on it; your thermometer settings; and your sign-up sheet text and columns. Names and notes are personal information, so treat a shared computer with care. Nothing leaves your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it, and each tool has a way to delete or start over.

## Files you open and download

CSV files you import are read on your device and never uploaded. CSV, SVG and PNG downloads are created on your device and saved straight to it. Printing goes through your browser's own print dialog.

## Page view counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and never receives what you type, import or create in the tools.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; see [Cloudflare's privacy policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

## Links to other sites

Links to other websites, including the tools we recommend, are ordinary links. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
